Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 11, 2026
This policy explains what information Football Snap ("the game", available at footballsnap.net) collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The short version: the game is playable without giving us any personal information — no email, no password, no real name.
Information we collect
- Anonymous account data. If you create a player account, the game generates a random account identifier, a random device credential stored on your device, and a public "name key" (a random word plus digits, like TIGER47). None of these are tied to your real identity.
- Gameplay data. Your game statistics (wins, losses, yardage and similar), settings (such as your favorite team), an in-progress match snapshot so you can resume on another device, and any custom plays you design. This data is stored on our servers (Cloudflare) only if you use an account; otherwise it stays in your browser's local storage.
- Local storage. The game stores preferences (for example the mute setting and your selected team) in your browser's local storage on your device. Clearing your browser data removes it.
We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, precise location, or payment information. The game has no chat feature.
Advertising
The game shows advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and to measure ad performance.
- Google's use of advertising cookies is described in Google's advertising policies.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings.
- Visitors in the EEA/UK are shown a consent message before any personalized ads are served, as required by law. You can decline personalized ads and still play the game.
The fictional "sponsor" brands that appear on the in-game field billboards and in the commentary (for example "Pizza Palace") are parody content, not real advertisers, unless expressly noted otherwise.
Analytics
The game does not currently use any third-party analytics service.
Hosting
The game and its data are hosted on Cloudflare's network. Cloudflare may process technical information such as IP addresses as part of operating its service; see the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
Children
Football Snap is a general-audience game. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 — and by design, the game does not ask anyone for personal information at all.
Data retention and deletion
Account data is kept while your account is active. To remove your data: clear the game's site data in your browser (removes everything local), and/or contact us with your name key to have the server-side account data deleted.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change with it. Material changes will be noted on this page.
